1 Fine mesh strainer optional, for a clear cup
Ingredients
For the Tea
1cuplemonadereal lemonade, not powdered mix
1cupwater
1bagJade Citrus Mint green teaor Tazo Zen tea
1bagPeach Tranquility herbal teaor Celestial Seasonings Country Peach Passion
1-2tsphoneyto taste, raw or local preferred
Instructions
Prepare the Base
Pour the lemonade and water into a small saucepan and stir to combine.
Warm over medium heat until steaming, but not boiling, about 2-3 minutes.
Steep and Sweeten
Take the saucepan off the heat as soon as it starts steaming.
Drop in the green tea bag and the peach tea bag together.
Let the tea bags steep for exactly 4 minutes -- longer starts to taste bitter.
Lift out both tea bags, gently squeezing to release the last of the flavor.
Add honey to taste and stir until fully dissolved.
Pour into a mug and serve warm right away.
Notes
Use real lemonade, not a powdered mix -- it turns bitter under heat. Pull the tea bags at 4 minutes, not longer, or the mint tea turns bitter. Add a slice of fresh ginger for extra warmth.
