Ingredients
For the Drink
8-12ozwaterroom temperature or lukewarm
1/16tsppink Himalayan salta small pinch, not a spoonful
1tbspfresh lemon juiceabout half a lemon
1tspraw honeyoptional
Instructions
Prepare the Water
Fill a glass with 8 to 12 ounces of room-temperature or lukewarm water.
Add 1/16 teaspoon of pink Himalayan salt to the water -- closer to a pinch than a full spoonful.
Stir well until the salt fully dissolves. Warm water dissolves salt faster than cold water.
Add the Flavor
Squeeze in about 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, roughly half a lemon.
Stir in 1 teaspoon of raw honey if you want a milder, less salty taste. This is optional.
Taste the drink and add a touch more lemon or honey if the salt flavor is too strong.
Drink right away, on an empty stomach if that is part of your routine, or any time of day.
Notes
This is a hydration and electrolyte habit, not a verified weight-loss method -- see the article for the real research. Skip this if you have high blood pressure, kidney issues, or a sodium-restricted diet. Use fine pink Himalayan salt so it dissolves fully.
