Ingredients
For the Sangria Base
3cups100 percent red grape juicedark and tart
1/2cupstrong black tea1 tea bag steeped 5 minutes, cooled
1/2cupfresh orange juice
2tbspfresh lemon juice
For the Fruit
1largeorangesliced into thin half-moons
1mediumapplediced
1cupmixed berries or grapes
1stickcinnamonoptional
To Serve
1cupcold sparkling wateradded at serving

Instructions
Make the Base
Steep 1 black tea bag in 1/2 cup hot water for 5 minutes, then remove the bag and cool completely.
Pour the grape juice, orange juice, lemon juice and cooled tea into a large pitcher and stir.
Add the orange slices, diced apple, berries and cinnamon stick.
Stir gently so the fruit is submerged in the juice.
Chill and Serve
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, up to 12 hours.
Taste and add more lemon juice if it is too sweet.
Fill six glasses with ice.
Stir the sparkling water into the pitcher just before serving.
Pour into the glasses, making sure each one gets some fruit.
Notes
Cooled black tea adds wine-like tannin. Add sparkling water at the last minute. Use dark, 100 percent grape juice with no added sugar. Best within 12 hours; keeps up to 2 days.
